This book offers an introduction to several of the foundational genres of New Orleans music including Second Line, Funk, Mardi Gras Indian Rhythms and the New Orleans Voodoo Temple Order of Service Rhythms. All rhythmic parts are presented in our BeatBox notation. The book also features Exercises and Drills designed to assist students in mastering the foundational cadences for these styles of music. In addition this is a full color work illustrated lavishly by the author's own artfully manipulated photography in and of New Orleans
